RIDM – 2019 Call for entries Deadline is June 14th, 2019.

The submissions for the 22nd edition of the Montreal International Documentary Festival are now open!

The festival will take place from November 14th to 24th, 2019.

The eligibility requirements are:
• The RIDM’s programming is focused on auteur documentaries. All formats and/or topics are welcome.
• RIDM accepts submissions of the following: short, medium-length and feature films, as well as interactive works (webdocumentaries and virtual reality projects). Documentary webseries are not accepted.
• Works must have been produced after June 1st, 2018.
• Works must be subtitled in either French or English (if the original language is neither French nor English).
• Works already refused by RIDM may not be resubmitted.
• Selected films and interactive works must grant RIDM the Quebec premiere, meaning they cannot have been broadcast, webcast or screened in Quebec before being shown at RIDM.

A submission fee is charged:
• Canadian submissions:
– Early bird (March 4th to March 15th, 2019 at midnight UTC-5): CAD $26 (taxes included)
– Regular (March 16th to May 31st, 2019 at midnight UTC-5): CAD $31 (taxes included)
– Late bird (June 1st to June 14th, 2019 at midnight UTC-5): CAD $50 (taxes included)

• International submissions:
– Early bird (March 4th to March 15th, 2019 at midnight UTC-5): CAD $37 (taxes included)
– Regular (March 16th to May 31st, 2019 at midnight UTC-5): CAD $42 (taxes included)
– Late bird (June 1st to June 14th, 2019 at midnight UTC-5): CAD $60 (taxes included)
