This year, the Society for Arts and Technology will once again take part in the 17th edition of MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE’s Nuit blanche! On February 29th, from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., the SAT gives you the chance to travel and dance through its floors. Expect DJs and VJs, interactive visual works, as well as a selection of cocktails, wine and appetizers prepared by the Labo Culinaire Foodlab.
During this event, the SAT invites you to take part in two interactive collaborative works. Through portals using telepresence technology and projections, the SAT merges its spaces, giving you the chance to teleport from one floor to another and experience new ways of meeting and creating virtually. The physical world becomes embellished, making way for a universe caught between abstraction and reality, connecting visitors in a whole new way.
TWO EXPERIENCES OF TELEPRESENCE
#1 L’EFFET VERT
L’effet vert, is a live work between the audience and video creations. Audiences on both floors will appear in the projections as they move through the green space. A game of inlaying will be generated and visitors will find themselves wrapped in a dreamlike, interactive universe.
#2 GRAFFITI NUMÉRIQUE
Graffiti numérique, is animated by artist Louis-Robert Bouchard. On each floor, audiences will be able to collaborate in creating digital graffiti in a jointly projected space.
TWO FLOORS OF PARTY
All night long, a program of over a dozen local artists will be presented in two immersive spaces: the Satosphère (the SAT’s dome) on the 3rd floor and the Espace SAT on the ground floor.
