Beyond the projected movie in a theater, now film, moving image and visual works are presents in various environments. During this theoretical workshop, participants will explore the history of audiovisual performance practices, from examples of contemporary practices to the use of different devices that emit light to present images in a performance context, in particular 16mm projectors, overhead projectors and digital projectors. Techniques for modulating live images will also be studied, such as prisms, filters, synthesizers and software.
