Digital art conservation project (sale and donation) – Phase 2

In 2017, CQAM undertook a major project to better equip artist-run centres and artists in the media arts with the necessary tools for the preservation, conservation, acquisition and sale of artworks. Nearly forty interviews were conducted with independent artists, museum curators (MACM, MNBAQ, NGC, etc.) and local and international specialists. The initial phase of research, documentation and writing will be completed in the summer of 2019. Phase 2 will begin in the fall to ensure the editing and dissemination of the project, which will include a limited edition paper publication, video capsules, and electronic guides that may be downloaded and distributed free of charge. Launch planned for 2020.
