Labsessions #18 – Offers

Emerging artists rewarded!

Emerging artists Gaëlle Scali (Scalability), Charline Dally and Gabrielle HB (Le désert mauve) and Samuel Thulin (Sounding Desert Utopias) received support from the digital arts community following the presentation of their project at the 18th edition of Labsessions held at the SAT last September.

Each of the 8 organizations provided constructive comments and recommendations for each project.

In addition, artists will receive specific support from the following organizations:

  • An annual membership offered to each participant as well as support and consulting services from the Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques (CQAM).
  • For each artist a free training from the SAT Campus Perfectionnement program of the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), as well as an offer of consultation at the SAT Metalab to Samuel Thulin for his project “Sounding Desert Utopias”.
  • An artist membership (value $50) to all artists from Ada X.

We thank the partners (Société des arts technologiques [SAT]Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques – CQAMEastern BlocOBOROAda X, Chaire de recherche ALN et Labo NT2TOPO and Vidéographe), as well as the artists, for their participation. For now 8 years, the Labsessions meetings have allowed several emerging artists to showcase their work and see their project produced and/or disseminated among partner organizations. Don’t miss the next call for projects that will be launched this winter 2021!
