OPO, Montreal’s artist-run centre for digital art and writing, launches a call for proposals for their window exhibition space Vitrine, a 10 square metre, windowed space which can hold small interactive media based installations.
The window display itself is located along the corridor of the Pôle de Gaspé’s ground floor, a place where commercial, cultural and artistic spaces collide and home to six production and exhibition based artist-run centres. Within this environment, TOPO’s window display captures much attention and creates various reflections around the space’s use as well as in situ productions.
For its 2019 – 2021 programming, TOPO is interested in investigating the theme of borders. A vital issue in today’s headlines but also deeply anchored in humanity’s history, this subject combines many questions of interest to the artist-centre which are as much political and social as physical and technological.
