What is the Filministes Festival?
Since 2015, the Filministes organize screenings of cinematographic works followed by discussions on various contemporary issues. We seek to increase visibility for films and filmmakers that are not usually represented in film festivals and to create safe spaces for discussions and reflection on feminisms. The Festial was born in 2018 and, after having generated a real craze for two consecutive years, is heading to its third edition!
Note:
- Films must have relevance for feminism and the feminist discourse, but does not have to explicitly deal with the topic of feminism and/or gender roles.
- We are dedicated to providing a space for filmmakers, who are usually underrepresented in the film industry (women, trans, non-binary, PoC, queer filmmakers)
