In this workshop, participants will respond to a simple mapping prompt which invites them to locate some of the sites which have been witness to personally significant moments, whether major or minor, of the last 8 months of the pandemic. In mapping those sites and the routes between them, and recounting our physical, mental, and emotional states when we inhabited them, we will discuss the potentials and limitations of our local landscapes. How might the particular, disparate locations sought out by each person independently, suggest larger patterns of care, fear, or desire? What can we learn from this exercise about what our neighbourhoods allow or refuse?
This workshop will be FR-EN bilingual without translations; participants are welcome to speak in their preferred language. Participation in the workshop is not necessary for attending the evening roundtable discussion. Explore more at https://www.are.na/turning-points-htmlles-2020
