Women in Immersive Tech Europe (WIIT) and Goethe-Institut Montreal join forces to foster international exchange between Womxn in XR. Sara Lisa Vogl (Berlin/Montreal) Co-founder at WIIT presents together with the Goethe-Institut Montreal and local partners a themed event series aimed at bringing together thinkers and makers and fostering international cultural cooperation. The event series will be ongoing throughout 2020.

Speakers Meetup #1
The first meetup will revolve around the themes of anthropocene, climate change, human beings and their impact on space and feature introductions by Leen Segers (WIIT) and Olivia McGilchrist (Studio XX) as well as presentations by Ylva Hansdotter (XR Impact) and Connie Kuang (Felix & Paul Studios). Ylva Hansdotter, member of WIIT, is the founder and director of “XR Impact” and will present her project Be Earth Experience. An immersive educational work on climate change. Connie Kuang is the Director of Marketing at Felix & Paul Studios. She will present Space Explorers, Felix & Paul Studios’ latest ambitious project in collaboration with NASA.
We will meet on Social VR Community Platform AltspaceVR.
Technical requirements:
The best way to join is via a VR headset. AltspaceVR is supporting all headsets including Oculus Go.
The platform can be used from any Windows PC in 2D-mode.
