In addition to the film screened in theatres, cinematic works are now found in a variety of unusual environments. During this theoretical workshop, participants will have the opportunity to study the history of visual performance practices. With the help of concrete examples that will be presented during the training, participants will discover new contexts for the creation and presentation of works. Various projection devices in a performance context will be presented, including 16mm projectors, overhead projectors and digital projectors. Techniques for modulating live images will also be explored; such as prisms, filters, synthesizers and software.
Workshop is given in French but questions may be asked in English.
