Sound art is by nature interdisciplinary, it can be performative, installation or immersive. It can be part of technological, sociological or environmental research and creation. This workshop will approach sound art through the practice of the artist-instructor, based on her experiences and accomplishments over the past 25 years in the field of contemporary art.
The training will allow each participant to:
– deepen their approach
– sharpen their sensitivity to the sonic dimension of the world
– experiment and work with sound as creative material
– be attentive to the dialogue that emerges between their current practice and their sound language
– define technical, conceptual or theoretical needs
– confirm and clarify interests and creative projects with the medium of sound
– use professional audio equipment and explore devices (e.g., circuit boards, video electronics, radio transmitters, prepared vinyl, record players and devices of obsolete technologies, etc.).
To register, contact the New Media Laboratory by email and leave your contact information (name, phone number, email address): lab@oboro.net.
*The workshop will take place in French
